Marshall Staubin Reams

August 12, 1932 — December 27, 2017

Prospect, Virginia - Marshall St. Aubin Reams, 85, formally of Yorktown, Virginia returned home on December 27, 2017. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Betty J. Reams and his son, James Aubin Reams. Mom and dad are now reunited for time and all eternity. Marshall served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired from the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station after 39 years of service. Marshall loved serving in many callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Newport News and Richmond Stakes and mostly recently as the Newport News Stake Patriarch Emeritus.
He is survived by two sons, Frederick and his wife Carol, Edward and his wife, Liz, and his daughter-in- law, Susan. 13 grandchildren, Jennifer (Mitch), Emily (Eddie), Clark, Andrew, Zachary, Kimberly, Adam (Emily), Nathaniel (Amy), Blaine (Lauren), Kyle (Hannah), and Carley, Matthew (Alicia), and Katherine (Nick), 15 Great-grandchildren and several other family members.
Visitation will b e held on Friday, December 29, from 7pm-8pm at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 210 Harpersville Road, Newport News, Va. 23601. Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 30th at the 10am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Poquoson Chapel, 113 Sinclair Lane, Yorktown, Virginia 23693. Preceding the Saturday services a visitation from 9am-10am will be held. The Puckett Funeral Home of Farmville and W.J. Smith & Sons are serving the family.
