Arvis May Shorter

Arvis May Cunningham Shorter, 90 of Darlington Heights, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 while on vacation in Pennsylvania. She was the widow of George D. Shorter who died in March of this year. May was born in Washington D.C. on February 12, 1925. She was a graduate of Stuart Circle Hospital School of Nursing. After their marriage May left the nursing profession to join George on the farm. They worked the cattle farm together until their retirement.
She is survived by her daughter; Tina Wells her grandchildren; Alex, John and Emily Wells and her former son-in-law, Harry Wells.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 14, from 3:00 - 5:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home with a memorial service immediately following. Interment will be private at a later date.
