Billie (Bula) Haynes Tunstall

Billie (Bula) Haynes Tunstall, 87 began her eternal life on Saturday, September 11, 2010. She was born April 17, 1923 in Cumberland County to the late Willie Lewis and Mollie Wright Haynes and adopted parents, Willie and Allie Oertel. Billie was educated at John Randolph High in Cumberland County and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
She was preceded in death her parents and husband, a brother, Walter H. Oertel and three sisters, Dorothy O. Lynn, Gladys O. Orange and Christine O. Frazier.
She leaves behind four sisters, Eliza O. Duncan, Minnie O. Taylor, Theresa O. Shelton and Joyce O. Ingle and her two brothers, Willie Oertel, Jr. and Robert Oertel.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 2:00PM at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Saturday 1:00-2:00PM before the service, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Puckett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
