Carolyn Perkinson Cunningham

November 7, 1929 — April 13, 2010

Carolyn Perkinson Cunningham of Farmville, Virginia passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at The Woodlands. She was born November 7, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Frances James Perkinson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hugh Carleton Cunningham. Carolyn is also survived by her three children, Karen Taylor and husband, Bruce of Charlotte, NC, Ted Cunningham and wife, Dianne and Chris Cunningham and wife, Sherri all of Farmville. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Prince and her husband, Billy of Goode, VA; her seven grandchildren, Lauren Pilon and Evan Taylor of Charlotte, NC, Colby, Keaton, Carter, Taylor and Hayley Cunningham all of Farmville, her great grandchild, Carter Pilon of Charlotte, NC and several nephews, nieces and extended family.
Carolyn affectionately known as MiMi by her grandchildren was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law whose greatest joys in life came from those roles. She was also a wonderful and caring friend to many.
People found themselves quickly drawn to her warm and vivacious personality. She embraced her family and friends with a love beyond measure. Additionally, her love of cooking and her listening ear were her gifts to all who knew her.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the entire Woodland Staff and Dr. Edward Gordon for all the excellent care received over the past several years.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 15, 2010 11:00AM at Farmville Presbyterian Church. A private graveside service will be held. Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 14, 2010 6:00-8:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Centra Hospice, 713 Oak Street, Farmville, VA 23901 or to St. Judes Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
