Daniel Lawrence Holohan

November 25, 1954 — January 16, 2018

Daniel Lawrence Holohan, 63, of Prospect, VA, formerly of Townsend, MA,
went to heaven on January 16, 2018.
To know him is to love him. Dan “THE MAN” Holohan meant the world to so many. He enjoyed life to its fullest in Massachusetts, Maine, and Virginia. People always wanted to be around him… his mother, wife, brothers, children, nieces, grandchildren and hundreds of friends.
Dan was born November 25, 1954, to Paul W. Holohan and Simone A. (Grenier) Holohan. Dan graduated from North Middlesex High School in 1973, and earned his bachelor’s from Fitchburg State. Dan leaves behind a wife and best friend of 32+ years, Deborah (Marjomaa) Holohan. He adored his mother, Mimi and loved his son Jason, his daughters Kristi and Jackie (and even her husband Mike). Dan treasured his two grand kids – Gwen and Lucas Daniel. He leaves a brother Bob Holohan and wife Susan, of Townsend MA, and is joining his brother Rick Holohan in heaven. Dan was very close to his seven nieces. He was a well-respected sales leader of electrical supplies for over 40 years. He recently retired.
Dan lives in all of us, he truly stood for these values: his love of nature, animals (esp. small hunting dogs), people, his loyalty, strong faith, great sense of humor, great work ethics and of course having fun.
Dan died in his sleep, at peace. As Dan has abruptly said to many of us… “Gotta-go, bye.” We all know that this means… he will meet us again shortly and he loved us.
Celebrations for Dan’s inspirational life: 1) 2 p.m. Sunday, .January 21 at Farmville United Methodist Church, 212 High Street, Farmville VA. 2) 2 p.m. Sunday, January 28 at Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main Street Townsend MA.
