Doris Kacperski Newman

Doris Kacperski Newman, age 75 of Farmville passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 at Johnston Willis Hospital in the Thomas Johns Cancer Center. She was born July 4, 1940 in Halifax, a daughter of the late Mabel Duffer Hall and the late Ira E. Hall.

She is survived by her husband, Sydnor Newman, a daughter, Linda Atkinson, a step daughter, Katharine Gammon, a step son, Sonny Newman, four sisters, Mary Sims, Frances Ward, Liz Gosik, and Margaret Martin, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Visitation is planned for Monday, February 29, 2016 from 1pm-3pm with a funeral service immediately following. Both visitation and funeral service will be held at Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville, by the Rev. Michael Kendall. Interment to be in Westview Cemetery.
