Elizabeth M. Brochard

Elizabeth M. Brochard, 93 of Pamplin, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013. She was born in New York, NY on May 14, 1920 to the late Maria Farley Dempsey and William Dempsey. She moved to Virginia in 1983 and lived in Pamplin. She was a very active member of the AARP, and served as first chapter president. She also was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. She retired as personnel director at Southside Hospital, Bay Shore, NY. She is the widow of Frances Raymond Brochard and mother of 4 sons. She is survived by; Guy Brochard (Theresa) of Pamplin, VA, Dean Brochard (Martha Ann) of Andersonville, VA, Roger Brochard (Bernadette) of MT Sinai, NY and Brian Brochard (Lois) of Miller Place, NY. She has one sister; Lorraine Shaw of St. Petersburg, FL, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
