Eric Arron Wood

Eric A Wood of Farmville, VA passed away on January 10, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Marion Wood. He is survived by his wife Ellen Wallace Wood, daughter Katherine Wood of New York City, son Andrew Wood of Portsmouth, VA, brothers Alan Wood and Jon Wood of Green Bay, VA, 3 sisters Laura Garrand, Robin Wood and Beth Wiseley all of Rochester, NY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Eric was a Navy Veteran of 20 years. He proudly served his country from 1971-1991. He joined during the draft of the Vietnam War era and served on many ships. He was a plank owner of the ship US McCandless. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and playing games.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:30 AM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends starting at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
