Everett F. Eldred Jr

ELDRED, Everett F. Jr., 94, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 26, 2017. Mr. Eldred was born in Washington, D.C., grew up in Staunton and graduated V.P.I. in 1943. He was a WWII vet. Mr. Eldred was an electrical engineer for V.E.P.C.O retiring in 1985, then for the Radford Electric Dept. He lived 30 years on Claytor Lake before returning to Richmond. Mr. Eldred was deeply devoted to his Faith in God. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Eldred; and daughter, Sarah Terry. He is survived by his son, William Eldred, wife, Renae; son-in law, Parker Terry; and grandchildren, Trip Terry, Michael Eldred and Sophie Eldred. Funeral service will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church, at 11 a.m. September 6, 2017, with reception to follow. Burial is 2:30 p.m. at Westview Cemetery, Farmville, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Snowville Baptist Church, 5296 Lead Mine Rd., Hiwassee, Va. 24347 or Bethlehem Baptist Church, 9600 Midlothian Tnpk., N. Chesterfield, Va. 23235.
