Helen Agnes Mclane

Helen Agnes McLane passed away peacefully at The Woodland in Farmville, Virginia Sunday, March 22, 2015. Helen was born May 3, 1916, a daughter of the late George and Mary Aleksa of Homestead, Pennsylvania. Helen lived most of her adult life in Arlington, VA working as a secretary for the U. S. Department of Agriculture. She is predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Florence Gaydos, Mary Aleksa, Anna Evans, and Margaret Stibrik. She is survived by sons Emmett Robert (Robin) McLane of Farmville, Virginia and Thomas Robert (Eileen) McLane of Silver City, New Mexico, and grandchildren Katherine Aleksa (Charles) Robertson and Clinton Robert McLane. The family would like to thank the staff of The Woodland and Seven Hills Hospice for their care and support. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 11:00am at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Farmville with a private interment to follow. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 6:00-8:00pm at Puckett Funeral Home with a wake service to be held at 7:00pm. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 709 Buffalo Street, Farmville, Virginia or Prince Edward County Volunteer Rescue Squad.
