James H. Cottrell II, “Jamie”, 48 of Keysville, VA passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Cottrell.
He is survived by his mother Anne Roach Stearnes of Cartersville and his step mother Ruth Cottrell of Chesterfield. He has two sisters Nikki Barker (Jesse) of Cartersville and Angie Wood (Mike) of New Canton.
He left behind a wife Tammy Reamer Cottrell of Pamplin, daughter Kristin Cottrell (AJ) of Chase City and a son Jamie Chase Cottrell of Pamplin.
He has two nieces and two nephews Stephanie Wood Ragland, Brianna Barker, Branden Wood and Blake Barker.
Jamie is a father, welder, husband, son, uncle, brother and friend. He was a hard worker and he loved the water, especially the lake. He was a true and loyal friend to many including his life-long friend Brian Distler (Rhonda) who he recently reconnected with. Robert Jamerson (Andi) of Powhatan, Roland Trammell Jr. of Keysville and James Satterwhite of Keysville. Also a special friend Missy Johnson of Chesterfield and a family friend Helen Barton of Green Bay who has been so instrumental and her support and encouragement when it has been needed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. www.puckettfh.com.
