Jesse Ross

Jesse Ross, 84, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 22, 2022 at his home in Prospect, Virginia. Jesse, son of the late Morse and Rosa Ross, was born on November 6, 1937 in Prince Edward County, Virginia.
At an early age, Jesse joined Peaks Baptist Church in Prospect, Virginia. He also enjoyed watching devotional services weekly on TV. He was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn (Lawrence), and one brother, Joseph Ross.
Jesse enjoyed life as a husband with wife, Mattie Ross, whom he married on September 26, 1959. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage. He will be missed by his entire family and beloved friends. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports and game shows on TV. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Mattie; devoted daughter, Rose; devoted grandson, RaySean (Sharon); two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Christian; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Jackson and Elaine Ross; two brothers-in-law, Terry Scott and James Jenkins (Frances); devoted cousin, Dorothy Jones; and a host of other loving relatives and caring nieces and nephews.
