Joan Keeling Osborne

Carolyn Joan Keeling Osborne, age 81, of Farmville, VA, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was born on June 22, 1933 in Lynchburg, VA to the late Jack M. and Edna Stinson Keeling. She worked as the head of bookkeeping and as a teller at the Virginia National Bank in Farmville for more than 30 years. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Gay M. Benhoff (Bill) of Prospect, VA and her son, Bruce W. Murray, Jr. (Melinda) of Powhatan, VA; 4 grandchildren, Angela C. Foster (Bobby), Michael D. Clifford, B. Morgan Murray (Rebecca), and Daniel W. Murray; 3 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Nancy K. Nichols (Ray) of Clover, VA, Jackie K. Jackson of Hixson, TN, Susan K. Hensley (Tommy) of Boston, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roddy S. Osborne, Jr. , a brother, Ray Keeling, and a sister, Barbara Moore. A graveside funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.—11:00 a.m. at Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Prince Edward County Rescue Squad.
