John S. Diamond Jr.

John S. Diamond Jr. 86 of Farmville, VA passed away on March 22, 2019. He was
born in Ithica, NY on February 5, 1933. He is the son of John S. and Ethel Lord
Diamond Sr. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War where
he was a Senior Chief. He retired from service after 24 years and became a bank
auditor until his retirement. He was a proud member of the Lions club and the
Farmville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee Diamond, 2 son’s; George Whitley, Tony
Diamond, 2 daughters; Ana Companion and Nancy Weinzetl, numerous
grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:00PM in
Farmville United Methodist Church. A graveside ceremony will follow at
Westview Cemetery, Farmville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Farmville Lions
Club.
