Kathleen L. Small

Kathleen L. Small Kathleen Livsey Small, born on January 4, 1943 in Atlanta, GA, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2014. Kathy was a resident of greater Williamsburg, VA for over 40 years prior to moving to Dillwyn, VA in 2013. She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin F. Livsey, and step-father Bill Love. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Barnes (Livsey) Love of Dillwyn, son; Paul E. Small and wife, Christy, and granddaughter Morgan of Dillwyn, VA; daughter Lisa Brown and husband, Ernie, and grandchildren Chase, Hannah, and Abigail of Merritt Island, FL; granddaughter Lauren (Brown) Anderson and husband, Kirk, of Washington, DC; son; Aaron Small and wife, Toni, and grandchildren Karen, Lisa, and Andrew of Williamsburg, VA; son; Adam Small and wife, Lisa, and grandchildren Oliver, Elliott, and Lillian of Ixonia, WI; former husband, Paul C. Small, of Vieques, PR; ; sister; Cyndi Price and husband, Larry, and niece; Patricia Steinaway, of Chattanooga, TN; and many extended family and friends. Kathy attended high school in Tampa, FL, and then studied to become licensed as a Realtor after moving to Williamsburg, VA with her former husband and children. She loved being active with her children on the waters of the Chickahominy River and working in her garden. She was a lifelong Christian and actively participated in her church to spread the love of God and Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at New Life Church, 9 Mahan Road, Farmville, VA. The family will receive friends after the memorial service at Kathy’s home in Dillwyn, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of choice.
