Kenneth spent a lifetime advocating for people with disabilities, including working with students at VCU, working with the VA Department of Rights for People with Disabilities, and serving on various committees. Kenneth believed everyone deserved a chance to succeed. Kenneth was best known for his vast array of historical knowledge. He worked on many projects including research on the Chesterfield Coal fields and First Baptist Church of Manchester in Richmond; the former resulting in the erection of public parks and the later published works. He expressed a hope that someday his great-niece, whose love for writing is as great as his, will finish the works.
