Leroy Wheeler Morris Sr, 76 of Jetersville, VA passed away on January 21,
2023. He was born in Toledo Ohio on November 6, 1946 to the late
George Edward Morris, Sr. and Rosealia Harrison Morris. He served his
country by joining the US Marine Corp in 1964 and served during the
Vietnam conflict. After service he worked for Dominion Resources until
retirement in 1999.
He met and married the love of his life Kathleen Webb Morris. They raised
3 children; Leroy Wheeler Morris, Jr. (Mona), Michael Taylor Morris, and
Jennifer Morris Van Derwerker (Mark). He is also survived by 3
grandchildren; Bethany Morris, Trisha Morris, and Cole Van Derwerker; 1
great grandchild, Grace Fitts; brothers George Edward Morris, Jr. (Takeko
Koko), Robert Lee Morris (Carol) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Rosealia Morris
and Patricia Ann Morris.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 11:00AM in
the Amelia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Rd, Amelia, VA 23002. A
reception will follow at the Journey Community Center, 19210 Patrick
Henry Hwy, Amelia, VA 23002.
