Louise Walton Ayres

Louise Walton Ayres, of Brookview Lodge, Farmville, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at the age of 87.

Born June 7, 1922 in Rice, daughter of the late Frederick Grady and Evelyn Morrissette Walton, She was a stay at home Mom for 24 years before working as an executive assistant with the Department of Defense. She was a member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church in Rice.

She is survived by three daughters: Barbara Ayres Bonesteele and husband Ray of Palos Verdes, CA, Patricia Ayres Geuder and husband Jeffrey of Longwood, FL and Nancy Ayres Ohlson and husband Brian of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Margaret W. Dugger of Farmville and Myrtle W. Banton of Rice; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 in Pisgah Baptist Church, Rice. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The service will conclude with a reception in the church's fellowship hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, Wednesday at Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville.
