She was the eldest daughter of Joseph E. and Beulah B. Oldford Murphy, both of whom preceded her in death. Also preceding her was a son, James Kerry Dunn, and her husband, A. W. "Doug" Hatcher. She is survived by her sister, Marilou Watson, brother, Joseph E. Murphy, Jr (Valeta), cousin, Patti O'Bannon (William), son Kevin Michael Dunn (Peggy), daughter Beverly Gail Davis, son Gregory Scott Dunn (Linda), and daughter Rebecca Lynn Pratt (Ron). She is also survived by her grand- and great-grandchildren: Zeke Pratt (Moriah) and son Kai; Brian Davis; Johanna Bliss (Joe) and their children Atticus and Penny; Seth Pratt (Stephanie) and their daughters Nani and soon-to-arrive Hannah; Veronica; Jessica; Nate; and Micah Pratt. Peggy's first and favorite "job" was as a mom. She worked as a nurse in Quanah, Tulia, and Plainview, TX. After retiring, she lived in Burleson and Friendswood, TX, St Paul, MN, and Farmville, VA. She really enjoyed playing cards with The Woodland Senior Group, having lunch with friends, and being a member of the Friendship Cafes, part of Piedmont Senior Resources. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Farmville Library, Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad, SPCA, or Piedmont Senior Resources.
