Marian C. Baldwin, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018, in Amelia, Virginia. Marian was born October 11, 1929, in High Point, North Carolina, the eldest of 3 children, to Robert Leland and Marion Newby Crouch. She was a 1946 graduate of Blacksburg High School where she went on to graduate 4 years later from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech). She spent most of her youth between Blacksburg, Charlottesville and Thomasville, North Carolina. Marian moved to Farmville in 1950 after her graduation and began her first career job as a Home Demonstration Agent where she made countless friends and met her true love Frank Baldwin. Marian adored raising her 3 sons as they grew up and loved to accompany her family to the ballpark. The tradition later moved to her grandchildren as she rarely missed an event that they participated in. Marian was a member of the garden club, bridge club, junior women’s club, and the United Methodist Women to name a few. Marian was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank Benjamin Baldwin. She is survived in death by her 3 sons; Benjamin Baldwin (Stephanie) of Farmville, Leland Baldwin of Farmville, and Sydney Baldwin (Kathy) of Pamplin, 2 brothers; Bob Crouch (Janette) of Lexington, North Carolina, and George Crouch (Sandra) of High Point, North Carolina, 6 grandchildren; Ryan Baldwin (Amy), Justin Baldwin, Preston Sutton, Ross Baldwin, Sydney Baldwin, and Landon Sutton, 1 great granddaughter; Mae Baldwin, and many nieces and nephews.
