Mark Albert Hammock

Mark Albert Hammock, 53, of Meherrin, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Farmville. He was born on July 4, 1959 in Fairfax County, VA to Betty Ferguson Hammock and the late William A. Hammock. Mark was retired from Powhatan Correctional Center. He loved the outdoors; his hobbies were hunting, fishing and drag racing. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Belinda Townsend Hammock; his children, who he deeply loved and was proud of, Clinton (Kelly) and twins, Dillon and Shannon; his mother, Betty Hammock; his brother, Timmy Hammock (Carolyn); and sister, Teri Childers (Phillip). He was preceded in death by his father Billy Hammock and Sister Anne Green. Family will receive friends, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Virginia Wildlife or a charity of your choice.
