Pearl Edith Perkins Hickman

Mrs. Pearl Edith Perkins Hickman, 75 of Prospect passed away Thursday evening in Farmville. She was born December 13, 1933 in Buckingham County. She was the daughter of the late George Lee Perkins, Sr. and Pearl Kent Jones Perkins. She was a long time member of Glenn Memorial Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and kept the church nursery. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Rose Trevilian and husband Tom of Wake, VA, Johnna Shular and husband David of Prospect, Sally Edwards and husband, John also of Prospect and Heather Ehman of Pennsylvania; her nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her sister, Gladys Collins of Independence, VA, her brothers, Lawrence Perkins on Newport News, VA and George Perkins, Jr. of Farmville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Hickman and her son, Alvis Lowell Jones.
A funeral service was held Monday, December 29, 2008 2:00PM at Glenn Memorial Baptist Church with interment in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery. Puckett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
