Robbiedee Williams

October 19, 1918 — February 20, 2015

Robbiedee Williams, age 96 passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 at The Woodland, Farmville. She was born in Ninnekah, OK the fourth child of the late Thomas N. and Rosa E. Williams. Miss Williams worked for the Department of Commerce in Washington, DC for 35 years retiring in December of 1973. She enlisted in the WAAC August 5, 1943 and was discharged with the rank of Technical Sergeant on January 10, 1946. From 1974 to 1977 she was secretary of the Capital Hill Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, DC resigning to move to Farmville in December 1978. She was a member of Farmville Presbyterian Church and awarded a life membership by the Presbyterian Women in 1995. A charter member of Chapter 2080 of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She is survived by; Sister Helyn Williams Graham-Allard of Urbana, Iowa, sisters in law; Sheila Williams of Marion Iowa, Carolyn Williams of James Town Kentucky, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers; Henry, Bill, Tom, John, Curran, Jim Williams and 2 sisters; Gustine Jones and Laura Mae Baker. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 2:00PM Jamestown Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Farmville Presbyterian Church.
