Robert C. Wilson, Jr.

Robert C. Wilson Jr., 75 of Cumberland, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 in Farmville, VA. He was born in Johnson City, TN to the late Robert Wilson Sr. and Gertrude Smith Wilson. He was retired from the Department of Corrections after 37 years of service. He also served as a member of the National Guard. He had a great love of nature and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was married to the late Geraldine E.Wilson. He is survived by a son; Robert C. Wilson III (Lisa) of Cleveland, N.C., his two daughters; Janet W. Bishop, of Richmond, VA and Deborah A. Scurti (Frank) of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers; Ronald R. Wilson (Lucy) and Riley N. Wilson (Lisa) both of Cumberland, VA; his two sisters, Ann Farlow (Ken) of Zephyrhills, FL and Jo Muehleib (Bill) of Virginia Beach, VA; 5 grandchildren; Ashley Newman, Samantha Moore, Grace and Nick Scurti and Abigail Wilson and 4 great grandchildren; Meghan, Taylor, Scottie Jr. and Nathan. He also leaves behind a special friend; Margarette Wilkerson. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11:00am with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice, VA.
