Obituary for Robert "Doug" Douglas Wright
Robert Douglas “Doug” Wright, 59 of Cumberland, VA passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. He was born in Farmville, VA on December 12, 1956 to Robert V. and Ruth Asal Wright.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and being outside. His hobbies included arrowheads hunting and collecting old bottles and jugs and raising roses.
He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family.
He is survived by his parents; Ruth and Robert Wright, grandmother, Ruth Asal Southall, sister, Donna W. Barger (Larry) Buckingham, nieces; Stephanie Wright (Rodney) of Cumberland, Jennifer Cooley of Lynchburg, VA, Jessica Baldwin (Scotty Sloan) of Cumberland, VA., 9 great nieces and nephews 1 great great nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept 4, 2016 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to service starting at 1:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home.
