Robert Earl Gibbs

Robert Earl Gibbs, 83 of Burkeville, VA passed away on December 21, 2017.
He was born in Prince Edward County, VA on September 16, 1934 to the late
Junious A. and Myrtle Giles Gibbs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Wayne, Taylor and Larry”Doc” and his son Robbie.
He is survived by his wife Lavanna “Bonnie”, his children; Vickie of Colorado Springs, CO, Ricky (Brenda) of Burkeville, Steve of Port St. John, FL. 5 grandchildren; Nikki, Stuart, Brandy, Casey, Jesse, and 10 great grandchildren.
He was employed by Norfolk Western Railway for 44 years. The love of his life was his family and tobacco farming which he did all his life.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 1:00pm at the Crewe Wesleyan Church, 1012 West Carolina Ave., Crewe, VA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Burkeville Fire Department.
