Roland Trent Walker

Mr. Roland Trent Walker, 73 of Farmville passed away Tuesday in Farmville. He was born September 11, 1936 in Nottoway County. He was a son of the late Jessie and Etta Walker. Mr. Walker served his country in the United States Army. He was the husband of Elizabeth J. Walker. Mr. Walker was the owner and operator of Walkers Diner on main street in Farmville for 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, his sons, Stanley Walker and wife, Teresa of Fort Myers, FL and Randall Walker and wife, Camille of Inola, TN; his brothers, Sam, Larry, Jim, Jack and Ashford George, his sister, Rebecca Mann; grandchildren, Bradley and Eric Walker, Kim Sauer, Logan Vickery and Chole Walker and his two great grandchildren, Katie Dunn and Trenton Sauer.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 2:00PM at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Rice. Family will receive friends Friday evening 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church.
