Ruth Brite Morrissett

Ruth Brite Morrissett, 83 of Farmville passed away Saturday in Farmville. She was born October 13, 1926 in Farmville, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Clifton and Hazel Phillips Brite. She was retired with over 40 years of service from the Esther May Shop in Farmville. She was the widow of Aubrey T. Morrissett. She was a long time member of Farmville Baptist Church and song in the choir. She loved her family, friends and her home here in Farmville.
She is survived by her son, Aubrey T. Morrissett, Jr. of Danville, daughter, Martha Knauer and husband, Jeff of Virginia Beach, her sister, Elise Lacy of South Hill, her granddaughter, Stefanie Ruth and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 18, 2010 2:00PM at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Hills, 800 Oak Street, Farmville, VA 23901.
