Obituary for Shyleen 'Charlie' White
Shyleen “Charlie” White passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 8, at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was born in Radford, Virginia on April 6, 1948, to the late James Thomas Simmons and Gladys Simpkins Womack. She was also predeceased by her stepfather, Wilson Howard Womack and a brother, James Steven Simmons. She is survived by her husband and best friend Macon Charles “Charlie” White; four children Wendy Moore of Richmond, David (Susan) Moore of Keysville, Mark (Barbara) White of Dallas, Texas, and Mendy (Jeff) Dunigan of Hoschton, Georgia; brothers Gary (Sukie) Simmons of El Paso, Texas, Tom (Margaret) Simmons of Farmville, Donnie (Nan) Simmons of Farmville and her sisters, Debbie (Rob) Maxey of Buckingham and Rosemary (Lewis) Shook of Meherrin. She also had a special “adopted” sister, Cheryl Kay of Richmond. She was also dearly loved by her grandchildren: Eli Moore, Veiw Moore, Whitney Thomas, Cayce Thomas, Drue White, Alec White, John White, Sam White, Haley Dunigan, Tyler Dunigan, and Sydney Dunigan; great-grandchildren: Anthony Green, Ava-Michelle Thomas, Alexis Freeman, Jordan Thomas, and Micah Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Heaven most certainly gained an angel on Friday and heaven will certainly never be the same. She loved everyone she met and everyone loved her. She lived life to the fullest and took care of so many. Her beautiful smile and vivacious personality will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends at Puckett Funeral Home on Sunday, November 10, 2013 4:00-6:00pm. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 4:00pm at Heritage Baptist Church.
