Angela Hope Williamson, 50, passed into her Savior’s arms on February 25, 2026, at
Blakeway Residential Home in Moseley, Virginia.
She was born on October 11, 1975, in Farmville Hospital to Albert L. and Edith P.
Williamson. She is preceded in death by her father, Albert L. Williamson, of Farmville,
VA.
She is survived by her beloved mother, Edith P. Williamson; her brother, Patrick D.
Williamson of Big Fork, Montana; her aunt, Lois P. Dennis (“Bud”); her close friends,
Becky Covington, Joan Osborn, and Steve and Mary Lynn Brown; her faithful
caregivers, Rose Roberts and Loretta Wood; and numerous nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
Hope graduated from Prince Edward County High School in 1997. She loved
participating in the Area 12 Special Olympics, where she medaled in wheelchair racing
and bowling. She also enjoyed being part of a local Girl Scout troop and participated in
the Miss Virginia Wheelchair pageant. Hope would say, “I may not do it like everyone
else, but I get it done.”
Hope especially enjoyed showing others how much she loved Jesus by serving them in
many ways. She visited residents in the local nursing home and would talk with them
and help them with arts and crafts. She made hundreds of butterflies for the Spirit FM
Radio Station Butterfly Campaign to send to cancer patients. She also enjoyed the
Hawaiian Sacred Dance program to share beautiful songs of faith with local
congregations.
Hope was a member of Worsham Baptist Church for over 30 years and participated in
Girls In Action (GA’s), Vacation Bible School, and Sunday School. She was a devoted
prayer warrior and always figured out a way to help. She especially loved her small-
group classes so she could learn more about her Savior. Hope became a member of
Calvary Baptist Church when she moved to the Richmond area where she continued
growing in her faith and commitment to Jesus.
A service will be held at Worsham Baptist Church on February 27. Visitation will begin
at 11 a.m. with service following. Pastor Ken Jones will preside over the service with
burial immediately after the service. A meal will be provided after the burial at the
Family Life Center of the church.
The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers, nurses, and medical team
at Hope’s residential group home who cared so lovingly for Hope during her last months
of her time on earth. Memorial donations may be made to Southside Pregnancy
Center.
