Bruce Henry 'Poppop' age 74 of Farmville, VA passed away on January 21, 2015. He was born in Detroit, MI on January 9, 1941 to the late William John Henry and Margaret 'Rita' Watson Henry who were Scottish immigrants. He previously lived in Maryland and was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at First Presbyterian Church in Annapolis. He was married to Elizabeth Joy Henry for 50 years and together they raised a daughter. He worked as a draftsman at Northrop Grumman until they retired to Virginia. Poppop and Mommom loved going to the beach and camping. On his small farm, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and working on the farm with his tractor. He also was an avid Baltimore Oriole baseball fan. He loved spending time with his family and eating a home cooked meal. He was preceded in death by his wife and one brother: William Watson Henry. He is survived by his daughter, Sandee Draper and her husband Ray of Farmville, and two grandchildren Jessica and R.J. Draper also of Farmville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service starting at 1:00PM.
