Cynthia Sue de la Rosa was born on September 30, 1954, in California, to Vaughn and Alta O'Connor. She was married to her loving husband, George de la Rosa, for 31 years. Growing up in California, Cyndi was a high school graduate, and she went on to take courses at community college as an adult. She worked for Southern California Edison as a clerk in the documentation department. Cyndi loved so many things about her life. She loved God and His Son Jesus. She loved her children and her grandchildren, family, church family. Some of her favorite things were singing, pansies and pointsettas, needlepoint (especially crwel embroidery), coffee, the color purple, and ice cream. Simple things made her happy. Cyndi loved people most of all. She was easy to get to know, and easy to talk to. She was a great listener. Cyndi was a wonderful friend, a loving mother, and a devoted grandmother. She was kind, forgiving, and patient. Lastly, Cyndi was strong. She faced her cancer diagnosis with courage and grace, and rarely complained. Cyndi was a brave woman of God, enduring the course set before her to the end. Cyndi is proceeded in death by her husband, George de la Rosa, and her sister, Vonnie Huber. She is surrvived by a long list of people who loved her, including, but not limited to: her brother, Larry O'Connor; her sister, Carol Ellis; her son, Shawn Carlton; her daughter and son-in-law, Tyler and Sarah Lapp, with their three daughters, Chloe, Charlotte, and Avery; her two step children, Vielka Wyman and Jason de la Rosa; her first husband, Scott Carlton; and her best friend, Micky Azbell.
