Donald Franklin Armstrong

Mr. Donald Franklin Armstrong, 78 of Pamplin passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010 in Lynchburg. He was born June 2, 1932 in Fountain Inn, SC to the late Charles Dial and Esther Verdin Armstrong. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was retired from Delta Airlines after thirty years of service.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Naomi (Nicki) Armstrong; his son, Frank J. Loverde and wife, Donna; two grandchildren, Frank Nicklas Loverde and Jason Ronald Brown; his brothers, J. Verdin Armstrong of Fountain Inn, SC., Rodney Armstrong of Easley, SC and Wendall Armstrong of Fountain Inn, SC; his sisters, Eleanor Wood of Dunwoody, GA, Rachael Jacobs of Clinton, SC and Esther Presher of Greer, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Monday, August 16, 2010 1:00PM at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to College Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 13, Hampden-Sydney, VA 23943.
