Edward Lee Helton Sr.

Edward Lee Helton Sr. 70 of Cumberland VA passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born in Elizabethton TN on July 11, 1944 to the late Millard L and Mary Carden Helton. He lived and worked as a dairy farmer and loved nature and all the outdoor activities like hunting, fishing. He always had some farm animal as a pet and would spend hour’s playing cards and watching wrestling. He is survived by his children; Edward Lee Helton Jr. (Amy) of Greenbay, Tammy Leigh Watkins (Mel) of Cumberland and Michael Lynn Helton (Amy) of Greenbay, 10 grandchildren, sister; Mary West(Norman) of Powhatan, Patsy Johnson(John) of Chesterfield, Nancy Rickmond(Howard) of Cumberland, Doris Diane Justice(Norman) of Cumberland, brothers; Gene Helton and Steve Helton (Brenda) both of Cumberland. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Robert Charles Helton and Billy Ray Helton. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00PM in Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cumberland, VA. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home.
