Elizabeth Durfee Coleman

Elizabeth Durfee Coleman, 93 went home to be with the lord on June 23, 2026. She was born January 3, 1933 in Prospect, Virginia to the late Arthur and Bessie Durfee. She was proceeded in death by her husband Lloyd Coleman, daughter Kay Allen, and brother Bob Durfee. She is survived by her grandson Charles Allen Sr (Ellen), great-grandchildren Charlie (the apple of her eye), Avery, sister-in-law Jean Durfee and her amazing caregiver Charlie Rowand. Elizabeth, known to most as Betty, devoted most of her life to teaching which she absolutely loved. After retiring she enjoyed time with the Garden club, making flower arrangements, shopping and spending time with her grand children and friends. A grave side service to celebrate her life will be held at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:30pm.
