Elizabeth Jenny Jones

Elizabeth Jenny Jones, 63 of Powhatan, VA passed away on July 5, 2016. She was born in Baltimore MD to the late Mario DelCostello and Georgia Yarber DelCostello on April 2, 1953. She was a member of St Theresa’s Catholic Church and had lived in Virginia since 1989. She was active in many organizations; the Cumberland County Ruritan Club, The Cumberland County Women’s Club, and as a Virginia Master Gardner, and Cumberland County Republican Committee, she was a staff member of the annual Cumberland County Patriot Day and the Cumberland Phone Book. She worked tirelessly for her community and country.

She is survived by her mother, her husband Noel Jones of Cumberland, daughters; Jeannie Jones-Christy (Jay) of Carrollton, VA and Jodi Jones Smith (Ron Kesner) of Vicksburg, MS, a son, Jon Noel Jones(Lori) of Houston, TX, sisters; Debbie Wargo (Tony) of Elkton, MD, Chrissy Meadows (Steve) of Moncks Corner, SC, Mary Hansen (Greg) of Baltimore MD, Margaret Del Costello of Dundalk, MD 10 grandchildren and a vast number of Aunts, Uncles Nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11:00 am in St Theresa’s Catholic Church with interment to be held at 2:00PM in Amelia Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church starting at 10:00 until time of service.
