Evelyn Martin Baldwin

Evelyn Lenore Martin Baldwin was escorted by a host of angels to her heavenly home on November 13, 2015. She was born August 5, 1930 to John T. and Annie Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents, 13 brothers and sisters, and two daughters, Sharon and Dianne.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Frank E. Baldwin, daughters, Debra Moore and husband Ricky, Darleen and husband Rev. Ted Fortenberry, sons, Rev. Don Baldwin and wife Jackie, Dwain and wife Theresa, Darrell and wife Julie, son-in-law, David Joyner, extended family, Phillip and Sharon Taylor, Ricky and Karina Smith, and a host of children who called her "Mom". Surviving brothers include Edmond, Frank, and Jimmy Martin. Grandchildren are Jonathan, Shannon, Kennon, Jessica, Ben, Jeremy, Charity, Zachary, Darrel, Micah, Bethany, Lauren, Kristin and Brent. Great grandchildren are Kaelin, Jayda, Rachel, Hunter, and Camden.

Evelyn joined the Church of God in 1959 and was a faithful pastor's wife, serving in various leadership positions through the years. She was a wonderful wife and mother for 66 years. Evelyn was loved and will be missed by her family, church, friends, and all who knew her. Fly high with Jesus loved one!

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 2:00pm at the chapel of Puckett Funeral Home with interment to follow in Crewe Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday evening 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God, Farmville, VA 23901.
