Hans Gerhard Daniel Theune

MEHERRIN, June 14 - Hans Gerhard Daniel Theune, 88, of Meherrin, was born in a small town in Hesse, Germany. He passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011.He is survived by his wife, Claire; sister, Marie of Winchester; two sons, Edgar and wife, Christine of South Carolina and Eric and wife, Celeste of New York; grandson Ethan of New York and granddaughter, Valerie, who resides with her husband, Mike, and daughter, Laura in South Carolina. Mr. Theune leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and good neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Lille of New York and two brothers, Adalbert of New York and Ehrhardt of California.Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at St. John's Lutheran Church in Farmville, on Saturday, June 18 at 2 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Virginia or to St. John's Lutheran Church.Puckett Funeral Home, Farmville, was in charge of arrangements.
