Ina Faye Jones
Callaway
Mar 23, 1922 — May 22, 2026
Ina Faye Jones Callaway, known by all as “Granny”, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at the age of 104. She lived a long, full life marked by faith, family, and a deep love for others. Granny was born on March 23, 1922, in Mayodan, North Carolina, to the late Buford Reed Jones and Ollie Bell Jones. She was raised with strong values of hard work, faith, and kindness that stayed with her throughout her life.
She was married to Lyndon Ward “Pappy” Callaway, who preceded her in death. Together, Granny and Pappy began their working life in Farmville with a produce business. Later, they moved into the mobile home business, where they operated Pappy’s Mobile Home Park and Pappy’s Mobile Home Sales. Over the years, they became well known in the community for their work and for helping many families find homes.
Granny was a very hospitable and giving woman. She always put others before herself and made everyone feel welcome. Her home and her heart were open to family, friends, and neighbors alike. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Maranatha Baptist Church, where she served and worshiped for many years. Her faith guided her life and was evident in the way she treated others with kindness, patience, and love.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Don Callaway and grandson, Dwayne Callaway. Granny is survived by her daughter, Linda C. Rorrer and husband David; her grandchildren, Tracy Hamilton and husband Shawn, Kymberly Stone and husband Lee, Angie Callaway, Christal Callaway, Robert Callaway, Brittnie Callaway, Regina Nunn and husband Robert, and Jennifer Joyce and husband Kevin, as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Babcock Manor for their incredible care and compassion shown to Granny until she went home to be with the Lord.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Puckett Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Pastors Steve Conwell and Larry Janey will conduct the services.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Shawn Hamilton (grandson-in-law), Justin West (great grandson), Bryson Stone (great grandson), Silas Mount (great grandson in-law), Ty Eggleston (great-great grandson), and Tyce Eggleston (great-great grandson).
Granny will be remembered for her faith, her hospitality, and the love she showed so freely to everyone around her. Her life was a blessing to many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
