James Douglas Baker Sr

James Douglas Baker Sr. 89 of Prospect, VA passed away suddenly on Thursday,
July 16, 2015.
He was born in Bertrand, MO on August 12, 1925 to the late Johnny and
Mattie Loughlin Baker. He served his country in the US Army during the
Korean War. He was a member of the Farmville Church of Christ and
loved to work in his garden and “tinker” in the garage.
He is survived by his children; James D. Baker Jr. (Joann) of Casco,
MI, John A. Baker (Carol) of Midland, MI, Sharon E. Spangenberg (Roger)
of Prospect, VA, 2 brothers; Bill and Homer Baker, sister Martha Jane (Travis) Jackson.
Of Texas. 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 8 great great
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Iva Lou Lynn Baker and
4 brothers.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11:00AM
in Prospect Gospel Tabernacle Church, Prospect, VA.
