Lois Elliott Johnson

Lois Elliott Johnson, 70, of Burkeville, daughter of the late Johnnie and Fronnie West Elliott, joined her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 15, 2010.She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles Edwin Johnson; daughter, Teresa Johnson; sons, Benjamin Johnson and Patrick Metellus Johnson and wife, Barbara; seven grandchildren, Meredith, Meagan, Hailey, Brad and Landon, Austin and Lincoln; a great-grandchild, Ben, and many loving nephews and nieces, whom she loved in return. Surviving siblings are Ted Elliott and wire, Barbara; Maggie and husband, Frank; John and wife, Gail and Ruth. She was preceded in death by a son, Bradford Landon Johnson, siblings, Thea Elliott, Paul Elliott and Daisy Banton.Donations may be made to the Cancer Society of your choice or to Sandy Creek Cemetery Fund, c/o Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Box 130, East Saylers Creek Road, Jetersville, VA 25450.The family will receive friends on Friday, Sept. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.The funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, Jetersville, Saylers Creek Road with interment in the church cemetery.
