Luther "Sonny" Fountain Harris

Luther “Sonny” Fountain Harris Sr., age 85, peacefully departed this life on December 29,

2025. He was born on December 10, 1940, to the late Edna Belle Harris and Charlie Thomas Harris.

Sonny lived a life defined by hard work, integrity, and devotion to his family. He believed in the

value of earning an honest living and took great pride in providing for those he loved. For many

years, he worked faithfully until his retirement from Bartlett Tree Company, where he was

known for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic.

A man of quiet strength and steady character, Sonny led by example. He shared wisdom through

his actions more than his words, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. His calm

presence, thoughtful guidance, and unwavering support made him a pillar within his family and

community.

Sonny enjoyed life to the fullest and had a true love for the outdoors. He found joy in fishing,

hunting, and spending time working outdoors, anything that kept him busy and connected to

nature. These activities reflected his patience, determination, and appreciation for life’s simple

pleasures.

He cherished time spent with family and friends and was a loving husband, father, grandfather,

and great-grandfather. Luther is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Jean Harris, his eight

children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory and

legacy forward.

Though deeply missed, Sonny’s life stands as a testament to faithfulness, perseverance, and love.

His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
