Listen to Obituary

Mary A. Huth, 96, of Farmville, Virginia, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, with her children at her side. Mary was born on August 15, 1929, the youngest child of the late Harvey G. and Alta S. Agrue of Chillicothe, Illinois. Her husband of 68 years, Ralph Huth, and brothers Harvey L. and Edgar (Wanda) preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are her children Mark Huth of Phoenix, Arizona and Amy Eberly (Eric) of Farmville, Virginia, grandchildren Andrew, Carrie (Brad), Benjamin, and Natalia, and great-grandchildren Ellie, Daniel, and Landon. Mary graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois with a degree in Business (Accounting), where she met her husband, Ralph. They were married shortly after graduation and moved to Maryland while Ralph was in the Army. After Ralph finished his military service, they moved to Crown Point, Indiana and raised their family, eventually being transferred to Pittsburgh, PA. Mary worked at Ingomar United Methodist Church in McCandless, PA from 1968 until her retirement in 2001, starting out as the bookkeeper and ending her career there after many years as a Certified Church Business Administrator. In her later years, she became interested in genealogy, and traced her family back to the 1400’s.

Mary enjoyed doing sudoku, playing scrabble, sewing, knitting, reading, and gardening, and cherished spending time with her family. She was a fierce protector and strong supporter of those she loved. Mary was great with computers and kept updated on new technology. Her impressive mind remained intact until the very end.
