Mary Edith McReynolds

Mary Edith McReynolds 93 of Cumberland, VA passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born on December 12, 1929 to the late Otella Garrett and Elbert W. Stapleton. She was married to Willard Ezra McReynolds who preceded her in death.

She was an active member of Payne Memorial Church. She loved being outside, fishing, gardening, basket weaving and being a seamstress. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved spending time with her family and them with her.

She is survived by a son Earl W. McReynolds (Annie) of Henrico, VA, 2 daughters Barbara M. Reese of Chase City, VA and Gay R. Large of Dillwyn, VA. 1 brother William B. Stapleton (Marie), 2 sisters Pauline Addington of Indiana, Medford Salyers of N.C. 2 grandchildren Frankie R.Large Jr (Sarah), Jason E. McReynolds, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, and a caring caregiver Carol Lewis.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM at Puckett Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 2:00PM in Payne Memorial Church. Interment will follow in Grove Cemetery.
