Nancy Karen Jerolaman

Nancy Karen Jerolaman, 65, of Cumberland, departed this life peacefully on June 21, 2023, in the comfort of her home. Nancy was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. The daughter of Billy and Frieda Franklin, she was born on April 8, 1958, in Farmville, VA. She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Jerolaman, daughter Amber Mills, and granddaughters Zoë and Abby Mills. She is also survived by her mother, Frieda Sams Newman, brother Allen Franklin, sister, Donna Franklin, and brothers-in-law Marvin and Steven Jerolaman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Stacey and Courtney Franklin, Emily Nelson, Jared Coleman, Christopher Tait, and many great nieces and nephews who loved her as NannyBooBoo. She was preceded in death by her father Billy Franklin, sister Tammy Carter, stepfather William Newman, and brother-in-law Wayne Jerolaman. Nancy loved watching cooking channels and game shows. She was an accomplished crafter known for her rag dolls and other sewing creations. Her favorite color was green, and she was always up for a walk to see beautiful flowers. Family and friends honored her with a gathering at Fitzgerald Memorial Baptist Church in Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cumberland County Public Library.
