Russell Allen Butler

BUTLER, Russell “Rex”, 66, of Goochland, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at his home, surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Butler, two daughters, Annette Jones and Theresa Butler; two step sons, Robert Fisher and Frankie Fisher (Frog), his grandchildren, Heather, Justin, Kaytlyn, Gracie, Andrew, Samantha, Ashleigh; four sisters, Betty, Emma, Josie, Shirley. Rex worked construction and did so for Butler's Loader Service (owner), Browning Construction and later retired with Ward and Stancil, Inc. Rex enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and pulling his draft horses. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fork of Willis Baptist Church. A private service will be held on Sunday, June 9, at 6:30 p.m. at Fork of Willis Baptist Church 1423 Columbia Road, Columbia, Virginia 23038. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family.
