Vernita Jean Thompson

Vernita Jean Thompson, 87, of Rice, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 in Farmville. She was the widow of Earl Dean Thompson.

Born in Wichita, Kansas December 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Raymond McNabb Reser and Marvel Goodwin Reser. She was a homemaker and a devoted member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her son, Jeffrey Dean Thompson of Carlsbad, CA, daughter Nancy Thompson Reames and husband, Ronald of Rice, grandchildren, Amy Goshorn and husband John, Wes Reames and wife Rebecca, Austin Reames and Shea Thompson and great-grandchild, Anna Grace Reames.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 30, 2010 11:00AM at Jamestown Presbyterian Church in Rice. Memorial contributions may be made to Jamestown Presbyterian Church, c/o Mutt Banton, 50 Lockett Road, Rice, VA 23966.
