William Merton Dickerson Jr

William Merton Dickerson Jr, age 93 of Pamplin, VA passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. William was preceded in death by his parents William and Ida Dickerson.

William is survived by his spouse Edna R. Dickerson, a son Gary K. Dickerson and a grandson Drew Dickerson. 

William served his country in the United States Army. He was a deacon at Spring Creek Baptist Church, a devoted farmer, was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 70 years and worked for the Forestry Dept. After retiring he built many houses in his community. William liked to dove hunt with his son Gary. He was a mentor to his son and taught him a lot about life. William loved his community and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 at 2:00PM with a visitation starting at 1:00PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow service in the church cemetery. Puckett Funeral Home is serving the family. www.puckettfh.com.
